Coffee giant Starbucks (NASDAQ: SBUX) has come under fire recently, however, the complaints are not about the company's coffee. According to Businessweek, Starbucks supplies Ethos Water, a brand that gives about 5 cents per unit sale toward helping developing countries gain access to clean water. The source for the water is northern California, an area of the state highly affected by the now months-long drought, Businessweek reported. It's unclear how much water has been bottled from this area since the drought began, however, members of these communities have had to cut back on their water consumption by 35% in order to conserve.
