Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) and Levi's have partnered to create literal smart pants, working on a type of electronic fabric that would allow wearers to never take their phones out of their pockets again. Known as "Project Jacquard" and announced Friday at Google's I/O developer conference, the fabric would be touch responsive. The wearer could tap the fabric to control music or swipe to alter the volume, Business Insider reported. Google also reported that the information released about the project is just the beginning when it comes to smart clothing, with the broad technological potential for developers in this field.
