A California-based tech company, InCom Corp, is suing Walt Disney Co. (NYSE: DIS) for infringing on attendance tracking patents, according to the Orlando Sentinel. InCom Corp patented its technology three years ago, and claims Disney’s MagicBands use the technology illegally. The bands are used for multiple functions at Disney parks, such as hotel room keys and FastPass, the Orlando Sentinel reported. InCom requests and undisclosed amount of damages from Disney, as well as for the corporation to stop illegally using its attendance tracking.
