Mattel (NASDAQ: MAT) will no longer be selling its Sea World (NYSE: SEAS) Barbie doll, according to Market Watch. The toy manufacturer pulled the product from shelves, as well as its other Sea World-related items, after harm criticism of the way Sea World treats its orcas. Much controversy arose from the 2013 documentary “Blackfish” which showed testimonials from former Sea World employees stating the park does not take proper care of its orcas, resulting in employee deaths. “PETA is calling on SeaWorld’s remaining partners to follow Mattel’s kind example and drop this orca-abusing park like a hot potato,” said PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman in a press release, according to Market Watch.
