BlackBerry (NASDAQ: BBRY) officially released its newest smartphone, the Leap, in India, according to NDTV. The mid-range phone has a 5 inch display, Gorilla Glass 3 reinforced protection and a 720p resolution. With 16gb of storage, the midrange smartphone comes capable to hold a 128gb microSD card, ensuring users will never run out of storage. "The BlackBerry Leap was designed specifically for the young power professionals who see their smartphone device as a powerful and durable productivity tool that also safeguards sensitive communications, while on-the-go," Managing Director of BlackBerry India Lalvani said, according to NDTV. "With BlackBerry Leap complementing the latest BlackBerry portfolio, including Blackberry Passport and Blackberry Classic, we continue to provide products and services that meet the needs of our consumer and enterprise customers." The products are currently selling in India at Rs. 21,490.
