In preparation for the eBay (NASDAQ: EBAY) and PayPal split later this year, the company has hired former executives from a number of companies in order to aid the switch, according to Biz Journals. Hal Lawton, formerly of The Home Depot, will be leading eBay North America; Marie Oh Huban will be appointed to eBay General Counsel; and former NYSE executive Scott Cutler will lead Stub Hub, according to Biz Journal. “eBay has been a leading innovator in the world of commerce for almost 20 years, and I am excited to be joining the team,” Lawton said in a prepared statement. “The Marketplace connects buyers and sellers globally, creating economic opportunity and powering entrepreneurs, and I am thrilled to be a part of leading that community forward.”
