GM (NYSE: GM) now offers the widest range of models that support Apple's CarPlay and Android Auto, with 14 of the company's vehicles able to support either device, according to CNN. Both of these car systems allow the driver to plug their phone into the center console and control applications through either voice activation or through the dashboard screen. Both, according to the company, allow the user to have a safer driving experience and help keep eyes on the road. "We're very, very concerned about it," David Teater, senior director at the nonprofit National Safety Council, said according to CNN. "The auto industry and the consumer electronics industry are really in an arms race to see how we can enable drivers to do stuff other than driving." For more auto and financial news, click here.
