Released this weekend, Jurassic World (NADAQ: CMCSA) made a huge splash in box office sales both domestically and outside of the United States. According to Business Insider, the film garnered $511.8 million in total worldwide sales, with $204.6 million accounting for U.S. sales and $307.2 million for international. Although these high numbers for huge-budget, summer blockbusters may seem like nothing out of the ordinary, the amount of money brought in by the film is staggering when compared to the gross domestic products of other countries. The total ticket sales from Jurassic World beat out the GDP of seven countries, according to Business Insider, missing eight by just $3 million. These countries include Tonga, Federated States of Micronesia, Sao Tome and Principe, Palau, Marshall Islands, Kiribati and Tuvalu. For more business and financial news, click here.
