Rumors that search engine Yahoo (NASDAQ: YHOO) is set to acquire check-in and review application Foursquare just won’t quit, according to Tech Crunch. Last year, the application was valued at $600 million after a final bout of funding from Microsoft, however, Yahoo’s prices are with swirling closer to $900 million. Yahoo is no stranger to acquisition. The search engine partnered with Yelp in March 2014, lending Yahoo its valuable user search data, Tech Crunch reported. This move aided Yahoo in the much needed realm of searchable local data, as well as lend the ability to view Yelp reviews as part of search results.
