Facebook (NASDAQ: FB) will be adding a "Buy Button" soon, allowing users to use its native system to purchase items for any merchant using the Shopify ecommerce platform. The platform had previously been testing the button in select areas, however, plans to roll out for mass use soon. “The test will help us understand how the feature can drive sales for a wider variety of merchants," said, according to TechCrunch. The social media giant will soon compete with Pinterest as it launches its "Buyable Pins" ability, which it announced earlier this week, according to TechCrunch.
