Action-sports camera company GO PRO (NASDAQ: GPRO) recently acquired an app-creating startup in order to improve its 3D and panoramic recording abilities, according to Digital Trends. The company, Kolor, focuses on spherical and virtual reality applications. Recently, GO PRO released a video demonstrating the new technology titled "Land, Air and Sea" where viewers can view panoramic footage. In order to achieve the effect of the video, Digital Trends reports, multiple GO PRO Hero cameras are attached to a device, where the film is then attached using Kolor editing. “We have already been seeing many people using GoPros in different kinds of three dimensional risks to really capture the beginning of the spherical media content,” GoPro president Tony Bates said, according to Digital Trends.
