Radio streaming service Pandora (NYSE: P) is on track to make more than $1 billion in revenue this year, with about 50-60% going directly to SoundExchange, a company that will divvy up the cash to those its allotted to. According to Forbes, the amount of royalties the company must pay to artists, producers and others in the music industry is regulated by the Federal government. However, although half of the revenue from the streaming service going to the music industry may seem like a lot, only 4% goes to the songwriters and composers responsible for actually creating the music, Forbes reported. That's approxmiately $40 million out of the possibly $1 billion for the year. For more business and financial news, click here.
